Machine: CORAVEL – Quality control of nut kernels

In combination with four sorting functions (air sifting, screening, ultrasound detection and optical quality control) we maintain, with this machine, a unique position on the market. In addition to the customary physical procedures such as air-sifting and screening, unwanted components are also identified by their surface properties with ultrasound and optical inspection. From raw products such as nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios, cashews, peanuts, walnuts, macadamias) apricot kernels or chocolate-nibs a wide variety of foreign bodies are removed in this way. Even individual nuts affected by rot or by mould are identified and rejected.

The CORAVEL machines are for many years in use at some of the world’s largest confectionery producers and food processors.
